1. This may sounds pretty boring, but I'd go into information design, specifically using MS PowerPoint as a medium. I truly believe it is an artform to be able to design a graphic that concisely and succinctly describes a large amount of information in seconds. Now, even though
Edward Tufte, the current master of this field, believes that
PowerPoint is evil, I believe that one can get beyond the dogma that surrounds the tool and utilize the medium to get information across. One just has to think a bit more about the presentation they're designing to figure out how to best pack in the most amount of information possible.
However, you might ask if you can really be creative using PowerPoint. Well, David Byrne (of Talking Heads fame) has recently published a
whole art book and CDROM dedicated to
PowerPoint. Check it out and see what is possible.
2. I'd like to go into intelligence. I think the idea of taking many random pieces of information and piecing them together to figure out what other nations are plotting sounds extremely fun. It's like a game, sort of like the old PC game,
Hacker.
3. I like to make a lot of different dishes. Some are extremely fancy, others are good down home grub. I think the one dish that best represents my "specialty" is my family recipe for Enchilada Casserole. Not like your "traditional" Mexican enchiladas, mine are what
Henry calls "Velveeta-spanic" enchiladas. I prefer to think it's a Colorado Hispanic recipe, since I've seen other Hispanics in denver recognize my methods. It's good down home grub at its best, and it reminds me of my childhood.
