rusty_armour has written me a wonderful John and Lestrade h/c and friendship fic! there's a terrific and poignant backstory for Lestrade's relationship with Sherlock, Lestrade being stoical in appalling circumstances, Sherlock being Sherlockish but humanly so, John being strong and determined and John-like, and a very fine appearance from Sally Donovan.
