Okay, so Lilly's murderer was crazy Mr. Echolls (wow, did he turn out to be fucking evil). I feel vindicated in my prediction, however, since Duncan's parents thought it was him, too :-P
That last episode reached horror movie levels at the end. Once Duncan called to say that he couldn't find Echolls at the party, I thought he might show up in Veronica's back seat . . . but that surely Veronica looked in her back seat before getting in considering, y'know, her life. Nope, he was in the back seat. Wow.
Also, I really want to know what happened between Logan and Weevil on the bridge. I like Logan, despite his faults, and I like Weevil, despite his, so I can't help but not want one of them potentially killing or maiming the other. Or for Logan to jump of the bridge like his mother did. They would leave that as part of the cliffhanger - to the point (in my opinion) that they didn't even need the actual cliffhanger in order to set up desire for the second season. Who cares who's at Veronica's door at 3am? (Although, seriously, I hope she looked out the window before opening the door - her life, y'know?) Logan and Weevil were facing off on the edge of a bridge!
In other news, I am pretty meh at the continued UST between Veronica and Duncan. I know it has a legitimate basis - they were all lovey-dovey before and now they know it isn't incestuous - but it really doesn't do anything for me. And Alona Tal's character is absurdly sweet, it seems a shame to put her through the grief of having her boyfriend moon over his ex.
Conclusion: Season one has convinced me to watch season two . . . if I can find it.
