brief respite
this is one of those lovely, eye-of-the-storm weekends. it occurs at the end of the past week which has been sheer hell, and precedes finals week.
but for now, i'm enjoying the housesitting gig and hanging with my boy, who is home for the weekend. dinner with his fam today, july 4th fireworks on sunday with my fam, and a carnival tomorrow. yeah, we're doing the whole cliche carnival date thing it seems. :p
but oh dear god, i twitch at the memory of last week. besides the two semi-major and major assignments, respectively, i was literally all week trying to work out travel plans for the jeopardy audition in boston. the numerous catches:
-i have class on the monday after
-plane/train departure times jiving with interview times
-connecting trains jiving with each other
-getting rides to various train stations or airports
-not being gone too long because i am still housesitting
and brilliantly, i'm missing my printmaking final on friday. so i'll just have to make sure everything's done a day early, no sweat. i rather like printmaking though so it doesn't feel as i'f i'm frantically trying to get an assignment done as much as creating things because i like to.
anyway, i'll deal with the assignments later. for the moment, i relax in my boss' air conditioned house with her two utterly sweethearted cats and read something from her excellent art history collection.
