Here's a new artwork. It's a poster for burlesque performer Lola LeSoleil. One of her costumes is that of a waitress, and it was really fun to draw. I left some space on the pad to the left so that she could add in different performance dates and locations.
In other news, it looks like I will be going to graduate school. I've registered, confirmed my enrollment, confirmed my financial aid, signed some promissory notes, and as expected they dropped the amount of money that I signed the notes for after they were processed. I'm worried about it, but I hope that even if money will be extremely tight and I won't be able to move into my own apartment for a while that I'll be all right. On the plus side of things, I got a call from the Center for Historic Preservation on the campus that they would like to do an interview with me for a position. If I can get a job on campus, I can have a little extra money that will cushion my finances.
I've got a lot of stuff to do before next weekend. I got my new clothes in the mail, and I was thrilled that everything fits so well, but I still need to order some new shoes. I need to go get a haircut and go to the optometrist. Plus, there's still cleaning and packing to do. I also have to finish the painting for the living room (just the finishing touches now), and I'm working on personal artwork. Busy, busy, busy.
