I was kind of amazed that people thought she was crying, but there you go. Some people just see things differently I suppose. The main thing I keep hearing from people is that because her eye is not separated from the duct/corner of the eye socket, they believe her to be crying, but I did a count, and in the first issue alone Buffy's eyes are drawn exactly like that in all but 6 panels (which are more detailed, close-up shots). I guess if it gives people hope that their ship is going to happen, then I guess I'm happy that they're happy... I think...

Buffy, for whatever reason, while in the middle of a warzone in Tibet, realizes that she maybe-kinda-sorta-could-be in love with Xander because he's been with her all these years and maybe the fact that he hasn't run screaming for the hills or created an apocalypse might be a sign that he's the fella of her dreams. Of course, right when she's about to blurt out her sorta-maybe-love, she sees that Xander and Dawn are locking lips. Cue Buffy crying because even though she's never had romantical feelings towards Xander before, suddenly she's totally crushed so... she tries to steal Xander away from Dawn by confessing her maybe-love... for all of two seconds before Xander tells her basically, "No, you don't but thanks for saying it." It's awkward and weird and stilted like everything else in the comics.

I didn't save the web comic because of the weird browsery thing it pops up in, but if you would like to read it you can get a free promo code by leaving a message asking for the code here: http://www.jehcollectibles.com/Guestbook.php
He'll email you the code and the URL where you can use it. I hope that helps. :D
