This sort of thing puts so much into perspective, on so many levels. Look around your campus, is it really that safe? If someone really wanted to orchestrate a shooting, there isn't much that's stopping them. 7am? Most people, at least on this campus, are still fast asleep. Can you imagine waking up to gunshots? its the sort of thing you expect to happen in developing nation, a micropower, somewhere with extreme political strife. They don't even know for certain whether or not this individual was a student. If you somehow manage to detach yourself from the fact that killing in general, and shootings in general are bad/wrong/malicious/etc, and focus on this specific case, its even worse. Shooting at a place of education seems disgustingly ironic, and it just irritates me further. I guess I'll stop ranting now, but I'm just so disappointed. And I think everyone knows someone somehow who has been affected by this. I'll really stop now.
