16-18 May Photos
One of these days, I'm going to catch up on posting my daily photos and *stay* caught up. At this rate, though, it'll probably be around December 29th or something.
16 May - Numfar contemplating naughty things.
Although she'd actually mostly settled back down by the time I snapped this photo. Once upon a time, she would walk along the top of the cupboards on the right and then jump from there to the cupboards on the left side of the doorway. It was always a bit heart-stopping for me when I saw her doing it and I worried that I'd come home some day and find a paralyzed kitty on the floor in the doorway. Well, we stuck a platter up there and it's been a pretty good deterrent... until that Friday, when she was sitting on the top of the fridge, gearing up for an attempt at jumping from there to... well, I have no idea. The cupboards on the left just past the platter? She was certainly eyeing it and doing that prep to leap thing that cats do... but that's a heck of a distance to manage. Thankfully, I haven't seen her try it since.
17 May - Lazy pajama evening.
We'd originally intended to drive over to Spokane that weekend to visit my step-mom... in fact, the day before, we'd even gotten as far as North Bend before it became obvious that rackham was too sick to make the trip. We turned around and headed home... and he spent most of Saturday coughing or sleeping. I took advantage of the extra days at home to tackle some stuff in the yard and when I was done, changed into pajamas for the rest of the day (because, seriously, why not?). The chair with the Clone Wars pillow is the one that Zoë likes to sleep on, because it's between our two desk chairs. And she gets REALLY annoyed when I put my feet up on it like that (which is part of why I do it... she's so funny when she grumbles (I had never run into a cat who *grumbles* before we got her)).
18 May - Storm rolling in across the valley.
Rackham was still sick on Sunday, so we really didn't do much. We did get a really impressive storm rolling through the valley though... there was even some lightning, but I have no idea how you even go about taking photos of something like that.
