12 May - Zonked cat on the table
I had to snap this photo of Zoë on Monday... we had quite a bit of sun this last week, so I ended up leaving the blinds down for the first part of the day. I'm pretty sure when she fell asleep there, she was actually in the sun and it moved while she was zonked out. (Not an uncommon occurrance... and on more than one occasion, I've seen her wake up, notice the sun had moved, make a very annoyed noise and glare at me (because I'd obviously moved the sun just annoy her) before moving the foot or two over to the new spot, collapsing in it with a decided "harrumph.")
As for the cat sleeping on the table, well, not long after we moved in we gave up on trying to keep them off there. It's a nice, uncluttered horizontal surface that's right next to the window. Instead, we just make sure to change the tablecloth every time before we use it... or we leave the tablecloth off completely and just wipe down the table before eating dinner. Everyone seems happier with this arrangement.
