Finished it on the train the other morning, and now I'm starting on volume 4~
I'm going at a rather leisurely pace with these, I'm reading--considering that I read Yokozawa no Baai (200 pages) over about 12 hours, and No.6 novels (same length) take me 2-3 weeks. But then, I only read on the way to and from work, so that's a given.
And on that No.6 note, I ordered the art books and got a huge laugh out of the PASH one where there's a whole section dedicated to "Shion and Nezumi's collection of love confessions (愛のささやき)", and it's just a bunch of REALLY QUESTIONABLE quotes, like the bit about 'you've never seen me naked!' 'and if I have?' and Nezumi's 'can I please have him back? He's mine' etc. XD I love this series so fucking much guyssssss. It will never not be one of the most awesome shows ever *____*
Not really related, but: I broke down and made a
tumblr XD I'm still getting the hang of it, but it's actually really fun to be able to interact with so many people on a single topic at a glance. Just tag it with the appropriate tag and bam, thousands of people are looking at a random piece of fan art you found or reading your Deep Thoughts on a subject.
My only complaint is that it's impossible to carry on conversations with people on a topic without constantly reblogging said topic and filling up your dash with it… It definitely isn't conducive to discussion, but it's very conducive to getting word out quickly and efficiently! I do wish the layout were a bit more organized--I want to have lots of tags but I don't want them all there on the side making me have to scroll to see them all; I also want to be able to EXCLUDE some tags. Like, if I'm looking at #sekaiichi hatsukoi, I'd like to be able to view it and exclude things also labeled, for example, #hatori yoshiyuki or #yoshino chiaki because seriously Domestica can DIAF and suck on a bag of dicks while it's doing so.
Aaaaand in completely unrelated news, I went to see T2's show yesterday, Suikouden! I say "T2's show" because I had been led to believe that…they would be a prominent pair in the show. This was based one the fact that they were billed together, that they were doing Nama Otoko alone together, and that they were the only people (in the extremely large cast) to get not only individual solo shots but ALSO a pair photo set of shots of their characters together (which I nabbed and will scan of course 8D).
I couldn't have been more wrong XD;;;
Shouta's and Tsuji's characters were only on stage together for a grand total of 5 minutes, 3.5 of which were spent with Tsuji's character dead on the ground XD;;; They never spoke to one another, and their most intimate contact was a 30-second sword fight where Shouta's character tried to buy his friends some time to escape. The next time they met, Tsuji's character had been slain by the main character (which was good, because Tsuji's character was a kinda bad guy? More like a former good guy who was jealous of the main guy's getting the girl and who joined the evil side).
So…what the fuck? Why the hell was there all of that pre-show marketing with T2 doing all this stuff together? Why did they get photo sets together when no one else did and their characters had nothing to do with each o------
Oh.
Oh I see.
I see what you did there, Standard Song (production company).
You looked at T2, you saw how fucking popular they are, you saw how much girls LOVE THEM together and you said, "oooh hey I bet we can get a lot of people to come see the show just in the hopes that these two will be doing something together, and even though their characters have no interaction, I bet they'll buy a photo set of the two of them together even if we price it 200yen more than the solo shots!"
……….Fuck you, how right you were :( *fell right into their trap*
Ah well, it was still a decent show at least? ^^
