Comiket + unexpected surprises in the mail~
Comiket 80, 無事終了~! Well, there's still tomorrow, but I won't go on the last day XD; So for me, it's over! I was annoyed this year that Jump Day got moved to Friday, and since I work on weekdays and my boss didn't give us Obon off >_> I didn't get to go and gorge on TeniPuri doujinshi this year. Looks like it wasn't worth it, though, as all the stuff I wanted was apparently already sold out by the time amyused and imma_holiday got there to get stuff for me! *weeps* But really, let's face it, did I really need more Golden Pair and Dirty Pair doujinshi? HELL YES I DID No, no I did not u.u
They did apparently manage to land their mitts on some fine, porny Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi doujinshi for Erotica and Nostalgia Yukina/Kisa and Takano/Ritsu, so as soon as they get back with it we'll probably be scanlating some of it XD And speaking of SH...
Aikawa-san let everyone know via the Marukawa Shoten twitter feed that there were going to be SH posters at Kokusai-Tenjijou station, so I kept my eyes peeled, and when the crowds died down, I snapped the following:

Here we have my Comiket-going buddy for the day faded_lace posing as I tried to snap a shot to give some sense of the huge crowd entering Tokyo Big Sight, but I don't think I quite captured it. Alas u.u

Once inside, we headed off to get our swag. faded_lace scoured the Johnny's section and wound up buying all of one book, whereas I snooped around the TeniMyu RPS section and got...
The two books on top with the lovely Parvati are MahaMo books. The left one is a small doujinshi between Vishnu and Parvati, and the right is from Mitsuru's circle and has a short little one-shot doujinshi of Parvati asking Vishnu for the key that he gave him back (because it was to his room XD), but was mostly novel that I'll have to piece through later. Still, YAY FOR SOME VISHNU/PARVATI. *uses Parvati icon*
The (two copies) Tuti/Nagayan book on the bottom is a long report on their coming outTuti's birthday event back in February. I can't WAIT to read that XD Guh.
After we ravaged the RPS sections, though, I ran over to the next hall to check out the No. 6 tables, since there were quite a few
NEARLY EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS SOLD OUT
Now, this wasn't like...the end of the day. This was two hours after opening. And of about ten tables, all but one were sold out of their doujinshi, though a few still had stock of novels/fics. I was...we'll say very dejected XD;;; I mean, I had been super excited to see what stuff they had, and now I saw nothing but SOLD OUT SOLD OUT everywhere. I've never been in a fandom where I had to worry about stuff selling out before, and I've been to Comiket 4 times now! D:
However, I did say nearly! Yes, for some reason, one lone table still had quite a reasonable stock out, of their newest work, and since the art looked very pretty and it had the magic combination of "R-18" and "N x S x N" on it (yummmmm switching *___*), I made sure it was manga and then bought that bitch.
Oh man. Guys. GUYS. THIS IS SUCH A GOOD DOUJINSHI. I haven't spoiled myself much for the exact details of what happens at the series, but it's a post-series AU that changes, well, one major thing (I'm sure if you know what happens at the end, you can guess what that one thing is) and is this beautiful, happy, but still a little sad and true to the themes of the series story that is only made about a bajillion times better for having some really hot porn with very believable interactions between the boys and unfffff. Like this exchange:

I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I really think I'm going to just like...have to buy a few more of these because I'm going to wear this thing out so quickly XD It's pretty and IC and there's Karan and Inukashi too and WHY IS THIS SERIES SO AWESOME?? ETA: Heeeeey LOOKIT WHAT I SCANLATED.
However, I was still super bummed that even if it was an awesome doujinshi, it was just the one--so faded_lace and I packed up and headed over to Ikebukuro where we raided Mandarake and K-books XD Unfortunately, Mandarake only had 2 No. 6 doujinshi of questionable quality, but K-books was quite more substantially stocked, and I picked up 4 more there. Even though none of them wound up being nearly as good as the one I got at Comiket, it gives me a basis for a collection XD So I'm glad for that~
Also awesome was when I went to K-books and finally located the little cart where they had stowed their novel-based doujinshi, I found two other (Japanese) girls also looking for No. 6 stuff, and they got all excited when they saw I was looking for it too XD So we had a ten minute convo while we leafed through the doujinshi available where we were all "OMG SO HOW EXCITING IS NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE GONNA BE?!" "OMG RIGHT? THAT SCENE IS FINALLY GONNA HAPPEN OMG OMG" and gaaah XD I'm always so glad when Japanese girls talk to me about fandom~ I feel all accepted :3 Here's my ultimate haul for the day:
The top middle one is the zomg amazing one I mentioned earlier which I will definitely have to scanlate because just just GOD THIS KIND OF AWESOMENESS NEEDS TO BE SHARED. Also, the top left image is actually a flyer advertising a No.6-only doujinshi event next February~ They're expecting over sixty circles. SIXTY. GOD. JUST KILL ME NOW *_____* Suffice to say I will be going to that bitch. Someone needs to come with! Foreigners shouldn't wander around doujinshi-hunting alone ;~;
After we secured our porn, we were joined up by yomimashou and headed over to Sunshine City for another Namja Town experience! This time, none of us were terribly hungry, so faded_lace nommed on the Dirty Pair burger which was really quite nasty and not in a good way you might expect from Oshitari and Gakuto XD;;; However, their faces painted onto cheese were quite lulzy:
It was also really embarrassing to go up and ask for the Katsu'n wa Hyoutei Burger Set XD;;; We were going to follow it up with some Hyoutei Kakigoori, but there was a line a bajillion miles long (as expected on a weekend in the middle of a sweltering day >_<) so we gave up. Another time!
I'm back home now, but just a moment ago a Sagawa guy dropped by with a much-awaited package for me which I hadn't been expecting! Shounen Hollywood on DVD! That bitch is so ripped~!! I'll rip the music too, because god it was so addicting! Here are a few fun caps to whet the appetite XD
