I finally got notification from Tenchou that
my Decossam Bear was finished, and here is what he gave me in return for my beloved shirt!
Tenchou took great pride in explaining just which parts of the shirt had been preserved in the bear XD Twice XD
Of course the little logo is still there :D
We then discussed (we = Me, Miranda, Sarah, and Joanna) with Tenchou what performances were upcoming for Tuti (because it was a Decossam bear, and we'd mentioned just coming from Western Mode earlier that day), and this led to discussion of Nagayan's upcoming events (such as his Christmas FC event that has not been announced formally yet XD;;) and for some reason he knew about Eiji's upcoming Fuji TV drama or something that also has not been announced yet, wtf Tenchou??? He tied it all up with, "So yeah, everyone'll be working on things. And Tsucchi and Takashi should do something together again huh! I'll tell them that." I agreed, of course, and then he added, "Yeah, I'll tell them that Courtney said they should put out another collaboration." GODDAMMIT TENCHOU STOP THAT XD;;;;
He then seriously went on for, like, 2 minutes about how I'm a celebrity (he called me a 有名人 what XD) and how KG know me and Nagayan knows me and *pnish* knows me, and by that point my face was probably pretty red XD; So we left with him promising once again to tell Tuti and Nagayan that they should make another collab because I said so :P These people, what.
IN OTHER NEWS! I'm going to post here about my awesome Western Mode ships :D Because I know you care hard :D After having seen this show 4 times now, with my next time being Tokyo senshuuraku tomorrow, I've gotten really familiar with different characters' interactions and relationships and could probably expound in detail (read: probably will via fic 8D) on Why They Are Awesome 8D Also, there are pics of people so uh, enjoy :D
1) Ronnie/Todd (Moriyama Eiji + Itou Naoto)
♥
Todd is Ronnie's best friend (and at least some part Indian it seems...), and throughout the show there are bits where one references the other in a situation that seems strange, such as when Ronnie comes upon the Jesse James Show gang and says to himself, "I've found them, Todd! I'll bring these people back and save the village!" When he returns, Todd does what he apparently always does when he's been separated from Ronnie for more than 5 minutes: flings himself at Ronnie and wraps his arms around him, burying his face in his neck and weeping. Yes, apparently Todd is a 13-year-old girl or something, idek XD But he's only 17, and Ronnie's 20, and so they're young and flirty and hold hands and are adorable :3 Ronnie's not the sharpest tack and gets himself into trouble quite a bit, and Todd gets really worked up and emotional over small insults, but still--it's kind of refreshing to have a pair like this :D Also,
Naoto's adoooorable XD
2) Wanizuka/Avery aka ♣/♥ (Washio Noboru + Hashimoto Taito)
♥
So this may seem weird at first XD Wanizuka's at least in his early 30s, and we've kind of agreed that Avery seems like a mature 15- or 16-year-old, so uh, how are they supposed to even be slashy? Well never underestimate a fangirl XD While not nearly as obvious as Ronnie and Todd up there (and let's be clear, no one is as obvious as them :P), they're quite adorable XD Wanizuka was kind of one-dimensional and boring outside of his use as a comedic idiot character in Treasure/Wonder Box, but he gets a bit more of an interesting backstory, and he and Avery are often found off to the side together bickering back and forth, with Avery being in charge of making sure Wanizuka doesn't get into too much trouble. In the theatre troupe, Wanizuka's in charge of the backstage/behind-the-scenes stuff, and Avery's in charge of the music (carrying around a little guitar with him everywhere). Avery's really precocious, it feels like, being the only one or the first one to twig to strange situations or suggest that they be careful when taking on new jobs that seem too good to be true. Their little bickering relationship is hilarious and cute at the same time, so I'd like to see more from them XD
Regarding the card suits: all members of the troupe came with their own little suit stitched into their clothing somewhere :D
3) Harry/Cress aka ♠/♦ (Sano Daiki + Ooyama Masashi)
♥
Harry and Cress are a lot alike--probably almost the same age, love their jobs as actors, want to be rich and famous, treasure their friends--but their differences make them a good little pair :D Harry's really positive and sees the best in people and has a strong sense of duty, whereas Cress--while also upbeat and positive--has a stronger sense of justice as far as, "People deserve what they get," and doesn't like risking his life for strangers really. They're both really bent on making their troupe a success and becoming famous (together), but Cress is more realistic whereas Harry is more idealistic. In the end, though, Cress always chooses to help Harry over saving himself, so their friendship is really strong :3 When Avery tries to suggest that he and Harry head the main act of their group while Cress recovers from a gunshot wound, Cress vehemently objects, saying, "I'm the only one who is Harry's partner!" Oh boys. They definitely have a Leader/Fuku-Leader vibe, but luckily for Cress, Harry doesn't seem to slip into Leadermode :D
4) Albert/Coleman (Dan Jiroh + Tsuchiya Yuuichi)
♥
I suppose I should be a bit embarrassed to ship this. I mean, Albert's, like, 60, and Coleman's probably late 20s, early 30s...and yet, here I am :P Coleman is Albert's cool, confident right-hand man...and in the show it often comes off as being that way in every sense of the word XD At the very least, it's clear that Coleman has a deep admiration for his boss, much more so than your typical thug would have for the guy who just pays him a salary. He states clearly, in a climactic scene where he convinces Albert to give up his fight, that, "You're a man meant for much greater things; that's why I've stayed by you all this time. Staying here in this small town feeling full of yourself--that in itself is a loss." Earlier in the show, also, Coleman expresses his displeasure at Albert calling in Robert Ford to help subdue the villagers, stating that it's demeaning to ask for help from the 'number one coward of the West' (referencing his cowardly assassination of Jesse James). Albert regards him for a moment, and then concedes, "All right; if you feel that way, then I won't call him." (putting aside the fact for now that Albert calls on Ford anyways :P) They have a healthy respect for one another that passes 'boss and underling,' so it'd be interesting seeing it go even further. Yes, even though there's a 30+ year ago difference :P (that's what past-fic is for! XD)
