Stinky bears and over-protective managers
So, faded_lace and I clearly suck balls at predicting how dedicated Nagayan's fans are--we vastly overestimated the number of fans who would line up to purchase the adorable little Kumassam bears at around 10 or 15 when in actuality not a single person showed up D: This was disappointing, but well--it was a weekend with nothing going on, and Tenchou had only announced that they would be on sale late the previous evening. So--not that surprising hardly anyone knew :/ STILL.
But whatever! That just meant we stood around for 3 hours waiting for nothing got first pick at the little buggers! faded_lace and I both bought one of the small ones (mine was for analineblue), and Tenchou had great fun telling us the story behind the bears...
...BECAUSE APPARENTLY THEY ARE ALL MADE OF ACTUAL OLD SHIRTS OF NAGAYAN'S (2 to be exact, one pink and one white) that he's worn for the past, like, SIX YEARS. So, shirts he sweated in during TeniMyu and BuriMyu rehearsals. Shirts that were thrown off in frenzied passion in his room afterwards. You can definitely tell how old they are and that they've been well worn--the black patches are cracked from wearing and washing, and really show that Nagayan's put them through their paces XD When I vaguely insinuated that didn't they smell Tenchou picked one up and took a deep whiff and proudly announced, "Smells like Nagayama!" Well, you sold me, Tenchou! XDDDDD
In other only slightly related news, Tamaoki's first name is apparently Katsumi o_O (玉置克己) Did we know this? o_O He's credited as "玉置たまっち克己" in the OFF DVD, and it only clicked then that it was like a "Last Name -- Nickname -- First Name" thing XD; So...whether or not that info is useful I dunno, but there it is!
