Senshuuraku weepy thoughts and a report~

Feb 08, 2010 23:27

I'm a dreamer. I like to fantasize about little things happening because I can see it quite clearly in my head, no matter how fanciful, and if I can hold my concentration long enough, I can very easily enjoy it as if it's really happening. Considering how many of the areas I dabble in cater quite heavily to fantasy, then, you can understand I do this quite often.

Fantasies like...*pnish* proudly announcing Nagayan as their newest member at Room senshuuraku in 2 weeks.

Or Daiki and Eiji's embrace turning into a short, sweet kiss at some finale show at HappyPani 10.

Or Tuti and Nagayan just saying "To hell with it" because it's the last BuriMyu ever and laying big wet ones on one another at curtain call.

It is February 8, 2010. BuriMyu's final senshuuraku is halfway over, and it's now time for the uso contest scene. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what actually went down tonight.

Every show, Gin explains how the uso contest is going to work, and while it is quite a simple concept, Hitsugaya always wants him to explain, further, with the following line:

Hitsugaya: "市丸!妙にきなくせぇや。よく意味が分からん。まずお前が見本を見せろ。" (Ichimaru, this is pretty suspicious. I don't get it. You show us how it's done, first.)

This exchange then prompts Gin to select a fellow cast member on whom he then shows how one delivers an effective uso. 95% of the time, he chose Hanatarou. 3% of the time he chose Ichigo, and twice only...he chose two different people. One was Katou-taiin, aka Gaku, which was met with great amusement. The other time was...tonight. Senshuuraku.

When Hitsugaya delivered his usual snappy line demanding Gin show him an example...Gin was only too happy to comply, as follows:

Gin: "...ではそんなにきな臭かったら見本をどうぞ。" (Well, if it's so suspicious, then how about you help with the example?)

Yes. This meant that the opponent Gin always treats to a really close-up this time was going to be...Hitsugaya. Nagayama Takashi.

The uso example always went along the lines of, "Do you know why I keep my hands in my sleeves? It's because they occasionally turn into X," where "X" was some new, hilarious thing every performance. This time...in keeping with Tuti's obsession with the instrument throughout the run...they were purported to occasionally turn into guitars XDDDDD

He elaborated on this by creeping closer and closer to the unimpressed Shiro-chan, hands still hidden up his sleeves, and drawling in his Kansai-ben, "Hearing them go jakajakajakajakajaka all the time, it's unbearable, isn't it? And still you praise me, saying I've gotten good...?"

[This was actually a reference to earlier in the show, when, during the Dansei Shinigami Kyoukai, Hitsugaya was asked to offer a comment on something manly, and he suggested, "[Manliness is] Telling the person next to you who's always strumming away on the guitar he's still learning to play that, 'You're getting really good'"]

Their faces only a few inches away from touching, then, Gin slipped forward quick as a wink, brought his fingers up to cup Hitsugaya's chin, leaned down until they were just a hair's breadth away and spoke, "...Uso."

And the crowd? Went. Fucking. Nuts.

If there was one uso scene I'd always wanted to see, it was Tuti's and Nagayan's, purely to satisfy the fangirl in me. But as Gin was the MC during this corner, he couldn't participate as the uso-er, and Hitsugaya would never be quite so erotic as Gin could be--indeed, the one time he did do his own uso scene with Gin, he grabbed a chunk of Gin's hair to yank him down XD; Hardly fantasy material.

This, though? Oh god. Oh god, this could fuel me for a loooooooong time.

*ahem*

The rest of the actual contestants were just as great ;_;

1) Izuru vs. Hisagi; Izuru convinces Hisagi that he's managed to get Matsumoto to agree to the duet which Hisagi had so wanted to be able to do together, at which point Matsumoto walks on...and she and Izuru deliver a sound USOOOOOO~

2) Renji vs. Ichigo; Renji grabs Ichigo by the shoulder and breathily, wearily says he needs Ichigo to do something for him (ala the scene where he asks Ichigo to save Rukia). "Please...please massage my shoulders! Wait no no, that's not what I wanted to ask--please...please massage my hips! No no no, okay really, just...look around you. At all these captains and vice-captains on stage. They all love you." *starts to get wibbly* "Now...look out into the audience, they're all looking at you. They all love you. So please...please never ever forget today, Kurosaki." He then ends this heartfelt and tear-inducing plea with an attempt to playfully poke him in the cheek, but Ichigo one-ups him and pokes him in the cheek instead :xxxxxxx

3) Rukia vs. Ichimaru. "Ichimaru-taichou. As you can see, this uso contest is moving along very smoothly, and we've all had a lot of fun this run with it. As such, you may think that I have forgotten what this uso scene originally represented. But I haven't." *steps forward, one hand on her sword...and Ichimaru starts to get a little disturbed* "I haven't forgotten. And it seems also...that you have not realized that among all of the people on this stage...not one of them is your ally." (Tousen was not on stage here) "You're surrounded by enemies, Ichimaru-taichou!" At this, everyone drew their swords and advanced on Gin--Hitsugaya right at his back and Rukia right at his front, closing in quickly and leaving him nowhere to run.

Rukia: *reaches up slowly, forcing Gin to bend down to fit under her hand* "...Uso desu." XDDDDDDDDDDDD

With the three uso contests over, Gin had to choose a winner...and he chose RUKIA XD As her victory comment, she made Ichigo, Byakuya, and Renji all come up to help her sing the chorus of Tsuyosa to Egao XDDDDD

But then, over the speakers, came Gin's voice... "Rukia-chan, thank you for that lovely comment. But we'd like to have EVERYONE ON STAGE sing the main part of this next song!"

YUP. THAT MEANT THE WHOLE CAST SANG CATHARSIS FOR ETERNITY. Which was pretty damn hilarious, as Tuti kept having to tell people to get the hell out of the way. Who latched himself to Tuti almost the whole time, though? NAGAYAN. Particularly amusing was, at the end, when Aizen's voice over failed to give them any points and thanked "all 3" for their hard work.

Gin: "...Aizen-taichou, can you not count?"

At the end of the scene, Gin is always the first to walk off, followed by Tousen, and then whoever sang the song is always last. This then usually segues into the next scene, which is a duet between Hitsugaya and Renji. However, on the days when Hitsugaya was already on stage, previously, he would stay on and then assume his position without first wandering off stage. Today, though, for some reason he was RIGHT ON GIN'S HEELS as Gin walked off. Which made it look, amusingly enough, like he and Gin had a little *ahem* appointment off stage while everyone else was occupied 8DDDDD *not complaining*

The final daily joke was the backup dancer for Rukia's solo, Song for You. Rukia always asks Ichigo and Renji to back her up, but Ichigo has to get changed for his next song, so he always designates someone to back her up instead. Today...he chose EVERYONE. Which was another hilarious attempt to fit everyone on stage at once and gave us the added treat of Tuti and Nagayan tucked into a corner dancing together to a REALLY hot song *____* Let's put it this way: Nagayan really knows how to bend it like Beckham *____*

The show usually ends with an encore of Soul Shout, but today being senshuuraku, and being the last senshuuraku ever for BuriMyu, we got a second encore in the form of The Other Side of a Limit, which was prefaced with Tatsuya and Eiji giving speeches (sobbing ones, in Tacchan's case) about what BuriMyu had meant to them while the rest of their cast mates wept openly (Nagayan) or fought to keep stiff upper lips (Tuti).

As they sang the final strains of The Other Side of a Limit, little heart- and star-shaped pieces of paper fell from the ceiling in a flurry of white, on which were written hundreds of little messages from the cast of thanks to the fans. If I hadn't already been bawling like a schoolgirl along with the rest of the audience, this certainly would have sent me over.

Tacchan came out one final time after everyone else had ducked behind the curtain and thanked everyone for an amazing five years, for truly making his youth matter--because he'd just been on the cusp of adulthood when he started this journey, and here it was at an end for him. And for us.

I'm about to start crying again, so I'm going to end this here. We closed out our last show with dinner at To the Herbs:

You may or may not recognize it, but it's where the cast had their uchiage for No Clouds. We felt it was an appropriate place to bid farewell...so we did :)

I'll have a long, detailed report up on burimyu in the next few days. For now, otsukare to all involved, and thank you so fricking much for the best, most life-changing 5 years of my life ;_;

Hona, sainara.
