Everything that begins must eventually end...and thus ends another On ;-;
It feels so weird. I'm typing this on the shinkansen back to Tokyo at the moment, where only a few friends are left, but no one I can call up and fangirl with, really. That's probably the worst thing--there's a saying, "What's the use of being God if all your friends are human?" What's the use in being someplace and experiencing something fun, if there's no one to share that excitement and energy with?
I need more Japanese friends, apparently :P [/emo]
Today was SENSHUURAKU! Two shows, two hours each, and a lot of chances for much anticipated adlibbing!
At maeraku, I was a little late and only got to the theater about 10 min before curtain, but Meg and I quickly found our seats in Row T--quite far back and off to the side, but an excellent opportunity to see LOTS of Tuti and Daiki XD The voice-over this time was Eiji and Tuti, but it started off only Eiji, doing a kind of "lost kid" call in which he said, "Tsuchiya Yuuichi-sama, Tsuchiya Yuuichi-sama, if you can hear this, please come to the mic immediately." A moment later, Tuti shows up sounding out of breath and then proceeded to complain that some good sake he'd received as a present was now MISSING XD;;; Eiji pretended he knew nothing about it (riiiight), and Tuti really had no choice but to accept it XD
During the show, one of the most entertaining parts of the first skit has been Tuti's progressively more and more dramatic explosion at Daiki's character forgetting his name. This time was the BEST, in which he did a few ballet moves and slung a LOT of sweat XDDDD
Funnier, though, was during the elementary school skit. Like in On5, there's a point where Wasshi must take something out of his bag (supposed to be a large turtle), which means I was really excited to see what, if anything, they changed it for at senshuuraku. I didn't have to wait til the FINAL show, though, as they changed it at maeraku...
INTO THE SAKE THAT TUTI HAD MISSED EARLIER XDDDDD Apparently it'd been Wasshi's idea, and they'd done it during a part of the first skit when Daiki and Tuti are alone on stage. ぐっジョブワッシー!! XDDDD
At the aftertalk, however...
Well the aftertalk may have somehow made this MY FAVORITE ON YET. I realize I've said this NUMEROUS times, now, but this really took the cake :P
They spent a few minutes talking about their experiences thus far in Nagoya, and this led to chatting about happenings in the show. Tuti brought up the sake in Wasshi's bag, Daiki brought up the previous evening's "Saijou Hideki" joke, and then...the preview show's "twirling, Eiji version!" got a mention 8D
Apparently Eiji had mentioned wanting to do it at Tokyo senshuuraku, and was glad to have gotten to try it, but disappointed it didn't happen like he wanted it to XD The others encouraged him to do it at senshuuraku, since that was the only show left, and Eiji at first agreed, but then said it wouldn't be fair to Wasshi, since that's a big moment for him, and it's senshuuraku after all. Then, Tuti suggested...just do it right now XD This brought a large round of applause from the audience, and they even convinced the sound and lights crew to make everything EXACTLY like it is in the opening, so...we got to watch 10 sec or so of the opening sequence AGAIN XD
Unfortunately it didn't work out again this time, but I was nooooooot complaining about seeing the Buttsex Formation again LIVE 8DDDD
However, the best thing was not that. It was what this then brought up.
Daiki: "...Ii na...I wanna try that too..."
Yup, DAIKI wanted to try being in the center position 8D The others agreed, even suggesting Tuti do it, but Tuti declined (since it's done during his intro, it'd take away from his spotlight moment :P ATTENTION WHORE). This left Daiki with the option of lifting either Eiji or Wasshi on his shoulders. Logic dictated the lighter of the two be the one to take this spot...so Daiki obviously had to test which one he could lift most easily.
How'd he do this?
By waltzing over behind Eiji, wrapping his arms around him, AND PULLING HIM TO HIS CHEST.
In other words, Daiki tested Eiji's weight by fucking him from behind 8DDDDDD OR AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE TO 500-OR-SO GIRLS.
He tried it with Wasshi as well, and the eventual verdict appeared to be Eiji was lighter, so the lights went down, the sound started up, they danced into position, Daiki ducked down, head between Eiji's legs (!!!!!!!!), lifted so that Eiji was sitting firmly on his shoulders, and...
HOUSTON, WE DO NOT HAVE LIFTOFF XD;;;;; Yeah, Daiki must've been high or something when he thought his little stick body could carry Eiji :P POOR THING XD;;;;
After the show, I hurried out into the lobby (Meg was going to do the handshake, I was saving it til senshuuraku) and waited for her. I'm standing there calmly waiting, when I feel a hand tap me on the shoulder, and I turn...to see MITSURU AND ASAMI.
WHAT. THE. FUCK. LADIES.
These chicks CONFUSE THE SHIT OUT OF ME. They're all friendly and smiley and talkative when I'm alone, but put even ONE person with me--doesn't matter if they're Japanese or foreign--and I DO NOT EXIST. Are they just worried I'll say something embarrassing about them or something? "Oh hey Mitsuru-san, it's been a while! I saw you're working on some new Tuti/Nagayan porn!!" WTF. She and Asami were quite talkative and friendly, though, chatting about NagaJo and all (they're not going to Korea either, dammit :/ I haven't heard one girl yet who was!!) and getting excited about Maharaja Mode.
We parted ways after Meg arrived, and then Meg and I went to Maruzen bookstore to try and find books to help me learn Korean. Unfortunately, all they had were a few books on helpful Korean phrases (I WANT TO LEARN THE LANGUAGE, DAMMIT. NOT PHRASES.) so we left to find food. One stop at SubWay later, we had food in our bellies and a senshuuraku to look forward to!
We headed back to the theater with about 45 min left, and about 7 min from the theater...THE SKIES OPENED UP. It went from nothing to TYPHOON in 30 seconds, shit you not. We scrambled under and awning into what turned out to be an underground art museum (wtf?) and waited for the rain to let up, hoping we wouldn't be late. An older lady joined us a moment after we took cover, and we chatted with her for a few minutes. She offered to walk with us, since she was meeting at a friend at the Komeda cafe inside Telepia Hall, but her umbrella was really small, so I stayed half dry and Meg got soaked until a nice fan put her umbrella over Meg. It's really awesome when people actually help other people ;_;
Our seats for senshuuraku, it turned out, were AWESOME. We were quite high up, but that gave us an amazing view of the stage, and we were SMACK in the center. It was really a perfect end to the show, finally seeing it straight on and far enough back where I didn't have to crane my head to see everyone.
The voiceover this time was ALL FOUR GUYS :DDDDD Tuti had us all do "clapping practice" which involved clapping with steadily more and more fingers XD Hearing 500 girls clap with only 2 fingers was...interesting XD
During the first skit, typically it opened with Daiki sitting down and Tuti, Eiji, and Wasshi playing tag. However, this time, halfway through their game, they finally shoved Daiki over and made him participate, too XDDDD Daiki took this very seriously however, and since he was it...he lunged forward, GRABBED EIJI'S CROTCH, and PULLED HIM TO THE GROUND 8DDDDDD Fuck yeah, Leader. Show that bitch who's boss 8DDDDD
During the elementary school skit, Daiki was quite high tension, so to shut him up, Tuti shoved his chocobanana in his mouth and just...left it there for a little bit XD It worked! After Eiji and Wasshi left to get changed, Daiki took another pic of Tuti (he posted the one from maeraku already), and then they played random "gokko" games. One Daiki was especially happy to play was "train door gokko" in which he was the train doors and Tuti was a passenger getting on. Sound familiar? IT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME AS PANIC CAFE XD SO CUTE.
Probably the BEST "gokko" of the entire run, though...was the last one.
Daiki decided he and Tuti would leave the stage to head into the next skit...playing "Ichimaru Gin gokko"! 8DDDDDD
However, DAIKI would play Gin. Tuti? Gin's sword 8D
This was awesome to watch, as Tuti kind of crouched down...and then put his arms out in front of him in a diving gesture and then raaaaaan to the front of the stage after Daiki "released" him XDDDD looking very unsure of himself. Once there, he cautiously stood up and turned around, presumably to see what he was supposed to do now...only to find that Daiki had already left the stage and he was out there alone XD Then he just kinda turned and said, "...Akantare" and ran off stage XDDDD The crowd was going CRAZY btw XD
Also, over the shows, the guys have progressively done more and more crazy shit during their taiko intros. Daiki's lately been into playing "air taiko" with the instructor sometimes pounding the drum when he does his air taiko. Tonight, though, the instructor wasn't cooperating...so who stepped in to help out his Leader? THE BESTEST FUKU-LEADER EVER, OF COURSE. At this, then, Daiki remarked that his and Eiji's hearts were connected, and that was how his attempts to bang the drum resulted in Eiji physically hitting his own drum. WHAT WHAT WHAT XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
During the after talk, there was more discussion of how great it felt to be able to come to Nagoya for the first time, and they asked how many people there were seeing *pnish* for the first time that evening. Quite a few raised their hands, and I thought how cool it must've been for THAT to be your first *pnish* show *____* Eiji called on a random girl to ask where she was from (Gifu-ken) and then asked her what she thought of the show. She said everyone was really cool, and this prompted him to continue, "So...who's your favorite?" After debate as to whether or not that was an appropriate question, the girl had to say, "...Tsuchiya-san" which totally burst Eiji's bubble XDDDD;
They then continued to ask where people were from, asking if anyone there was from Kyuushuu (a few were, Fukuoka and Kumamoto), and then anyone from Hokkaido or north Japan (an Aomori girl was there, too). Then Tuti threw out, "What about overseas?? Anyone from overseas??"
Meg and I kinda looked at each other--technically we weren't there SEEING it from overseas, but... And then I thought about how fricking awesome and popular it would make *pnish* look if they had people come from other countries just to see them, and I raised my hand and gave a loud, "Haaaaaai!"
The guys' eyes immediately shot over, all searching for where the mysterious kaigai person was sitting, and we kinda waved our hands, and this got them all riled up XD Tuti asked where we had come from (I need a "Tuti asking me where I'm from" tag...) and I said "America" and that seemed to make them quite happy 8D Mission: accomplished.
Well, that's 12 shows down. Next up is Maharaja Mode, and who knows how many of those I'll eventually break down and go to. Still, I'm really glad I went to these shows. There's just this amazing atmosphere you get enveloped in, and 一体感 that you experience when you're in a theater with these guys, and I honestly do not regret a single one of those shows, and wish I could've gone to more. It's the best kind of drug there is, and I love sharing it with others.
Thanks for putting up with my crazy On7 updates, and look forward to the DVD~!!
