First off, I want to point out just how much pink and plaid
a certain someone is wearing today. Aww, missing home already? ♥
So this weekend, I took two "long"ish trips around to see if I could make it to certain places in a decent amount of time, or if it was just stupid to try. Yesterday, I tried to get to Shinjuku Mura rehearsal hall park in Nakano-sakaue, where rehearsals for tons and tons of shows (including TeniMyu and BuriMyu) are held, from my apartment in Higashi-Shinjuku. The result? IT TAKES LESS TIME FOR ME TO GET THERE BY BIKE THAN IT WOULD TO RIDE A TRAIN. Seriously, 15 min, tops. It's FRIGHTENING how close I am to all the idols I could ever want.
Today, it was raining, but later in the afternoon it cleared up enough that it was QUITE nice riding weather, so I hopped on Leader-san-gou and we headed down to Shibuya! FYI, if Shinjuku and Harajuku would just, like, cease to exist? Or move out of the way of Meiji-doori? THAT'D BE GREAT THANKS. God so many PEOPLE on the sidewalks XD;;; It must've taken me twice as long to make the trip (~45 min one way, hour and a halfish there and back) JUST because of the congestion at those two parts (although Meiji-doori doesn't go directly by Shinjuku station, thank god, it DOES go right through the center of Harajuku, bounded on one side by La Foret and on the other by Omotesandou Hills (!!!)). Still, it was a very very nice ride (and took me literally RIGHT by Gain XDDDDD) and I stopped by a random Subway I found on the way back, my first time eating it here :D It was a lot easier to order what I wanted from there than from a hamburger joint *nods* would eat again!
In other news, I watched a bunch of movies this week, mainly Coraline, Patrik 1.5, Were the World Mine, and am currently watching the Korean horror flick Death Bell. Man, I can't understand a word of Korean (and don't really want to, it doesn't sound like a pretty language XD; *superficial*) but boy do they have some fine young men. Coraline was WEIRD, like, creepy, since I thought it was going to be more of a kids movie.
Pleasant surprises were Patrik 1.5 (a...Finnish movie?) and Were the World Mine. The former is about a gay couple who want to adopt and are told they're getting a 1.5-year-old baby, but it turns out to be a typographical error and it's really a 15-year-old delinquent homophobic boy. Very feel-good, happy ending, adored it :D
Were the World Mine is a comedy/musical/romance/crackfest in which a gay high schooler reluctantly tries out for the senior play A Midsummer Night's Dream and is cast as Puck, where he finds a secret recipe to make the love potion the character squirts on other characters in the play. He then uses it to make his crush love him back, and turns most of his small, homophobic town gay so they can see how he feels. Also, did I mention the musical numbers? And the amazing pipes on all these people? XD Very cute, very wtf-inducing at times, and very worth a download :D Pretty much all of these can be found on torrent sites, so lemme know if you're interested ^___^
So yes, the TeniPuri Perfect Live DVD came yesterday...and it was in amazing condition, with one tiiiiiny catch.
It only plays on Japanese PS2s XD;;;;;;; Yes, the game AND the DVD :D;;;;
But! Undaunted, I scoured the net and found a few helpful utilities, and it will only be a matter of time before I have nice high(er) quality rips of this show! It's a PAIN since it comes in 11 parts, but I've managed to piece together all but 3 segments, which are being stubborn as shit >_> In the meantime, I was able to cap an amazing much better quality cap of my previous Kondou/Hiroki icon, and made a new woobie one which I've used in this post 8D
Also, the original cap, at 1/2 the size (it's very nice quality in its original state!)
And MoriEiji with his Momo-hair, since this was RIGHT before TeniMyu, I think?
I still can't hear Ibu's voice anymore :( It's always just Eiji speaking very low and slowly >_> DAMN YOU, *PNISH*! Speaking of which, ADVANCE SALES FOR ON7 NEXT WEEK. GANBARANAI TO!
