I hope he sings this at the Live >_>

So, a while back hitome_bore and I got it into our heads that there was something super special about Nagayan's song Kotoba Kara (especially given that it's the song Tuti played at That Panisuta), and after much deliberation, we realized that the lyrics didn't sound like anything Nagayan would write at all...but rather sounded like Tuti himself speaking ( Read more... )

FIC: Kotoba Kara (Part 1) innusiq January 30 2009, 03:53:34 UTC
The sound of his apartment door slamming does little to ease his already frayed nerves. He doesn't even move to turn on the lights, navigating by memory as he slips off his shoes and bag, hangs his coat, hat and scarf, and drops his keys on the closest available surface he can feel. Takashi then stands there, in the dark, breathing, heavier than he'd like, and willing himself to calm down at least a fraction before he damages something he will regret in the morning.

They are only words, he reminds himself, again, and even though he knows it's true, it doesn't make him feel any better.

He's not mad, not really. He could never truly be mad at the idiot, frustrated at times most definitely, and annoyed occasionally over the stupidest and mundane issues when the idiot is being just that, an idiot, but mad?

Takashi snorts to himself.

It's kind of hard to get mad at a guy who speaks volumes with his actions.

Takashi sighs in the silence, feeling himself finally relax after a too long day of management obligation after management obligation, a horrible lunch date with his idiot boyfriend, and even more management obligations that get him home just in time before the trains stop running. He's mentally and physically exhausted, to the point where thinking hurts and yet that is all he can do is think, over and over, rehashing his earlier meeting with Tuti, trying to make sense of his own thoughts, words and feelings.

Tuti laughs at his own joke, one Takashi doesn't even get, but the laugh is infectious and happy and obnoxiously loud, but genuine and Takashi can't help but join in with a smile and a small subtle laugh as well.

This is love, pure and simple. Even if they don't talk about anything but stupid jokes and how one or the other embarrassed so-and-so, or even venting about this director or *pnish*'s Leader or Takashi's own managers, as long as they have this moment here, or that moment there, it's enough to put a smile on his face so he can face the rest of the day without this one important person next to him.

Tuti's laugh subsides and he looks at Takashi quizzically.

Takashi stares back, a smile still plastered on his face, crinkling his eyes, and he can't help the words that quietly spill out of his mouth.

"I love you."

Tuti's face becomes serious, almost worried and concerned, and it isn't until his boyfriend is looking around to see if anyone has heard that Takashi's smile falters. When Tuti has secured that no one in the coffeehouse heard, he turns back and quickly changes the subject.

"So Daiki-chan…"

Takashi doesn't hear the rest of what Tuti says, not that Tuti really got to finish what he was saying because Takashi abruptly stands and begins gathering his coat, hat and scarf.

"Hey, where are you going?" Tuti asks, seemingly oblivious.

Takashi doesn't respond. He shoulders his bag, and makes to leave but is stopped by Tuti grabbing his wrist.

"Sure you should be doing that?" Takashi questions, pointedly looking where Tuti is hold his wrist before looking back up. "Someone might see."

The comment gets Takashi's desired reaction as Tuti let's go, surprise evident in Tuti's eyes.

Takashi takes his leave, but only gets a block before he hears the labored breathing of a man running to catch up as Tuti calls out his name.

"Hey," Tuti says, grabbing Takashi's arm and jerking him aside.

"Tuti, I have to go," Takashi dismisses impatiently.

"Takashi… I'm sorry…"

Takashi pulls away. It doesn't help matters being tired and frustrated, but maybe just once it would be nice to hear those three words said back to him. He's never demanded them before, and he knows he doesn't need to hear them, but he thinks it would be nice, wouldn't it?

"So am I," Takashi returns and continues on his way, feeling more than little guilty for putting this all on Tuti, but not ready to deal with what it all means, or whether he can even figure it out.

Con't to part 2...
