I think it just hit home for me, watching these new NaiPani eps, but GOD do Daiki and Eiji touch. A lot.
I mean, Tuti and Eiji touch--but it's always slapping and stuff like that. Eiji and Daiki...
Touch hands. A LOT. They shake hands, or high-five. All. The fucking. Time.
First, let's take a look back at the first DVD.
From the 3rd episode, when Daiki wins the art contest and Eiji comes in second, Daiki jumps up, excited, and points to first himself and then Eiji going, "I'm Leader [implying that's why he got 1st] so since you're fuku-Leader...! [implying of course if he's first, Eiji's gotta be his 2nd]"
Reluctant to let go ;_;
This, though, THIS is them--this little high-five with fingers interlaced and...god, just, so in love. MARRIED. They're the FUCKING GOLDEN PAIR, PEOPLE. Do you not see this? What marked Oishi and Eiji's PDA? All that TOUCHING. The high-fiving, the back pats, the little shoulder touches, AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THESE BOYS DO.
And here, from the first episode of the new NaiPani DVD (so episode 4 overall), they're at the beach, discussing 50-meter-dash times. Daiki claims he's made it in 7.2 seconds, and Eiji pipes up, "Me too!!" and thrusts his hand forward for a handshake. Me, being obsessive, I timed this handshake: it lasted 4 seconds, and the last long two seconds the guys dropped their hands to almost below the camera's view. And just held hands. JUST FUCKING HELD HANDS. GOD. LOOK AT THAT.
First it's just a handshake, like I said.
This is 2 seconds in, Eiji's starting to let loose holding his arm up, and their hands fall.
BUT THEY KEEP HOLDING HANDS. Eiji's arm is just limp, like your arms are when you're just walking and holding hands, and his attention's now on something else, but it just...stays there...with Daiki holding him.
Then there's shit like THIS.
And THIS.
And sure, Eiji's off-balance and grabbing for support, BUT STILL.
But no one's off balance HERE.
Or HERE.
I hate them so much.
They're like little children, THEY CAN'T NOT TOUCH.
Always have to be using their hands to TOUCH TOUCH TOUCH.
In another episode, the guys walk through a haunted house together. Of course there's lots of Daiki clutching Eiji's jacket, but then again ALL the guys are scaredy cats in this episode XD Until the very end, when the guys must walk through a room to get out two at a time, with no cameras (only sound recording). We hear the following from Daiki and Eiji, who go through together after Tuti and Wasshi emerge:
Eiji: "We should've gone first..."
Daiki: "Yeah."
Eiji: "Hearing that now I'm kinda..."
Daiki: "...Wanna hold hands?"
Eiji: "...Yeah."
Daiki: "Hey--don't let go now, no matter what!"
Eiji: "I won't! And don't you let go either."
When they come out, they look like this:
Tuti gets on their cases (the yellow text is his line below):
Tuti: "What the heck are you two holding HANDS for?! All right, now, I dunno which one of you suggested you hold hands in the first place, but even for this 'Scaredy Cat' place, that's..."
Eiji & Daiki: "It was both of us right? Both of us."
Tuti: "So you both suggested it?"
Eiji: "Yeah, cause we're *pnish*, right?"
Daiki: "Right!"
Tuti: "So it's not like you're special friends or anything, right?"
Eiji: "Nah, we're always like this."
Daiki: "Yeah."
Eiji: "This isn't just cause we were in a haunted house or anything. Like, even when we go to rehearsals, it's the same, right?"
Daiki: "Right!"
Wasshi: "Wow, you really ARE close..."
Eiji: *grabs Daiki's hand as seen below*
Eiji: "Yoroshiku na..."
Daiki: "Same here <3"
They later hold hands again when Eiji tries to convince everyone the only reason they were holding hands was because Daiki was trying to run ahead and leave him. Big baby ♥
Seriously, these two are just...god, SO touchy-feely. I mean, I didn't even TALK about the beach-wrestling where the two were all legs and arms and chests and GROPING for, like, a full MINUTE in the hot sun...because a) I would've capped every 2 seconds, and b) I think that image is good enough for now *____*
They are WAY more comfortable just...in each other's personal space than the other guys. And that should stand for something >_> What, is the question.
