Tory had almost forgotten what it felt like to watch Laura Roslin when she was angry, and she wasn’t just angry now. She was something that Tory had never seen before. Tory had known that there was something going on between Laura Roslin and Bill Adama, she had at one time been privy to most of the things going on in Laura Roslin’s life. She just hadn’t realized things had gone this far. There was only one thing that could get Laura Roslin this angry.
Bill Adama was dead.
Tory had been one of the first to bring up the idea of running away and letting the humans fight things out themselves. It wasn’t their concern. Now that Bill and Laura no longer had the power the human’s had turned against them and even with Galen, Sam and Saul on Galactica running was the best option.
But Laura Roslin thought otherwise and she had managed to turn the minds of the other Cylons against her. Laura Roslin the human President who many of them feared and hated at convinced them to stay and fight. Fight under her lead
Tory had almost forgotten the human’s ability to fight even when all was lost. They had done it on New Caprica, she had done it as well. She hadn’t understood the reasoning for fighting but she did it because it was what Laura wanted, and she did what Laura wanted.
Human fought. And they fought hard.
And now one of the most loved, hated, praised, reviled humans still in existence was on the Cylon base ship declaring war on her own people. And Tory knew she would fight. She would fight with everything she was and had, until the bitter bitter end.
That’s what humans did. That’s what the other cylons could never understand. Humans didn’t just fight.
They fought to the bitter bitter end.
And Laura Roslin was nothing if not human.
