"So what is my dark haired scholastic rebel doing with a text book on a Friday night?" Paige asked taking a drink from her soda.
"Remember not so much a rebel any more," trying not to be distracted by the girl across from her.
Leaning across the table Paige touched Alex's hand.
"No hun, really what are you doing in the dot on a Friday night studying?"
"I have this huge test on Monday, and right now my brain is trying to turn to mush."
Sighing Alex put her pen down and ran her hand through her hair.
She looked up as a bag skidded across the table, coming to rest in front of her history text,into the bright green eyes of Paige. Picking the bag up she gave Paige a quizzical look.
"Skittle Power for those long hours of reading dry history text."
"Skittle Power?"Alex asked arching her eye's.
"Hey it's what all the college students are using now,"Paige replied with a grin.
Laughing at Paige's attempt to joke she opened the bag and poured some of the skittles into her hand.
"So is this the new drug of choice, sugar?"
"Don't knock the power of brightly colored pieces of candy."
Leaning across the table Alex popped a couple of skittles into Paige's mouth before she could say any thing.
"I would never underestimate the power of skittles,"Alex said leaning back in her chair grinning at the shocked look on Paige's face.
