Heather herself had greeted Sofia at the door of her place and walked her in. Her green-blue eyes with warmth and she tucked her red-brown hair behind her. She wore a simple one-shoulder black dress. “So…you feel betrayed by the other girls at work…true?”
“True.” Sofia agreed softly, her blue eyes filled with sadness. She flicked her blonde-brown hair from her face and straightened her blue blouse down over the top of her black trousers. She curled into a corner of the sofa in Heather’s office.
Heather settled next to her, taking her hand and raising it to her lips, kissing it softly. “Their loss…you’re beautiful…” she murmured. Her eyes connected with Sofia’s and she smiled, leaning to kiss her teasingly, she pulled away and raised a hand to caress Sofia’s cheek, gently brushing a tear from her face. “Be mine?”
“Yes.” The word was soft but Sofia meant it. She smiled at Heather’s look of surprise and brushed her hand over Heather’s cheek, cupping her chin gently as she leant to kiss her softly. “We seem to understand each other…” Her eyes shone with warmth and she let go of Heather’s hand and face, moving to hug her softly. “You’re perfect…”
