The rest of the deadly sins will have to wait till the next remainder. Damn employment.

100, 100, 150. All follow "Pride".

Pairing: Nina/Lynette (pre-slash)
Spoilers: Minor for episode 2.09, "That's Good, That's Bad," aired 11/27/2005.

Sloth

Nina packs up and goes home, and can't sleep in her own bed.

It's four in the morning-she should be asleep in her suit, file folders crumpled across the bed beneath her, or just waking to the buzzing of her cell phone against her hip, Ed calling again. It's dark and blue, and much too comfortable.

Nina takes her cardboard box, and dumps it out across the mattress.

She curls up in the mess and feels a notepad under her hip, pages still cluttered with Lynette's handwriting. For the first time, she lies still and watches the morning fade.

Title: Greed

Rating: G
Fandom: Desperate Housewives
Pairing: Nina/Lynette (pre-slash)
Spoilers: Minor for episode 2.09, "That's Good, That's Bad," aired 11/27/2005.
Summary: "Nina used to stand at that window. Nina used to dream of noon and nothing to do."

Greed

Noon washes out the morning.

Nina drives across town and sits in the parking lot outside her office. She knows it's pathetic, but she can walk those hallways in her head, can almost smell the Monday-morning Windex. She knows it's pathetic, but she misses it.

She ducks down when Lynette stands at the window, looking out. Nina used to stand at that window. Nina used to dream of noon and nothing to do. She wasn't careful what she wished for, but she's careful now, slumped down in the driver's seat as Lynette disappears.

She can see what she wants now.

Title: Wrath
Author: Nia
Rating: PG
Fandom: Desperate Housewives
Pairing: Nina/Lynette
Spoilers: Minor for episode 2.09, "That's Good, That's Bad," aired 11/27/2005.
Summary: "She must have left something behind."

Wrath

She must have left something behind.

A sweater in the conference room. A mug in the kitchen. A reason to show up after sunset, to slip into the building as everyone is going home-they avoid her eyes, they don't quite know how to say hello, but Nina doesn't care. She's not here to see them.

Ed is the reason Nina can't sleep without paperwork across her bed. Stu is why Nina has no place but the parking lot. Lynette is the one in Nina's office now, sitting on the desk-Nina slept there, Nina had sex there. This is bullshit, Nina wants to say. This is mine. But the desk is already covered in pictures of Lynette's kids. Lynette looks up from her cell phone, and Nina is kissing her-like she kissed Stu, like she wants to get caught.

There must be something here that belongs to her.
