Summary: Thinking about the taste of her blood.
She had never desired Rima's blood until rather recently. Ruka had not given up on Kaname (not entirely). It was not that she was getting tired of pining after him, but thought of it as an experiment.
Thinking about what Rima's blood might taste like, Ruka's eyes instinctively began to glow red. She wondered if she ever did get to drink her blood, would she be able to taste how badly Rima wanted Shiki to taste it?
Ruka looks up from her book (when she had been reading, but not obsorbing the words), and sneaks a glance at Rima, who sat a few seats away from her, her chin resting on her hand, looking as bored as ever.
It was always hard to tell what Rima was thinking, even though they had known each other for years (decades, really).
She found herself secretly hoping that maybe Rima had thought about tasting her own blood, too.
Or maybe it was just another false hope, as well. Perhaps she was just was thinking too much into it.
Yes, surely that was it.
