Summary:Uotani knows what it's like out there, but she'll protect Tohru from it.
Uotani has never been jealous of Tohru, per se. But, she always wondered how that girl could remain so cheerful, so optimistic, considering the tragedy of her mom.
Not only that, she worries about her a lot, given the fact she can be dangerously naive at times, and she lives with those weird Souma men, now.
She swears that if they ever do anything to her, especially that perverted author guy, she's going to bust some ass.
But, most of all, Tohru is fragile. It may not seem like it, and Tohru probably doesn't know it, but Uotani can see it. She knows that a push just over the line, and she'll break. And who knows if the pieces could be put back together.
Hopefully, that won't ever happen. Besides, Tohru has her around to protect her. She knows that the world can be cruel and unforgiving.
She cracks her knuckles instinctively. She's prepared, most definitely.
