It didn't matter what they were doing -- fighting magic, fighting humans or other mutants, stealing, simply trying to eek out a living for themselves, or saving their whole race or entire galaxy. It didn't matter how young or world weary they were, or who else might've been in their lives.
They recognized each other always, even in another's face or with a stranger's eyes. They recognized each other with one glance. They loved each other through all times and throughout all the many, varied worlds through which they adventured, or even suffered as fate might have it, and always, always, they were the best of magic together, defeating any foe, winning all the important battles, and loving each other utmost through it all!
