Teri stands slightly to one side and watches her co-stars pout, pose and play for the barrage of flashing cameras. Each woman has her arm wrapped around another, pulling their bodies tightly into one. In such close proximity Eva’s small curves bend across Marcia’s statuesque grace. In turn Marcia’s pale skin glows against Felicity’s healthy Californian tan.
Teri watches as one of them (probably Felicity) cracks a joke causing them to smile and laugh in unison. Their heads bend together as they whisper into each other’s ears and their hair falls in each other’s faces, darkness surrounded by burnished gold.
Most of the time Teri does not care that she is isolated from their little group. She has bigger (better?) things to preoccupy herself with. Like raising her daughter. Or reminding the press of her ongoing status as ‘Comeback Queen.’ However just for tonight she wishes.
As Teri watches Eva’s hand slide down Marcia’s silk covered hip. Or Marcia’s hand slip up into Felicity’s hair, just for once she wishes she wasn’t the odd one out
