"I'll take a quadruple fudge banana split with extra everything," Kitty ordered, her brown eyes shining with delight. It had been too long since she'd been able to come out with her friends and just enjoy life's simple pleasures.
"Euuw." Standing beside her, Illyana made a disgusted face. "You and your ice cream!"
Kitty laughed. "Well, how do you like your ice cream?"
Kitty knew Illyana liked her ice cream flavors plain, but she wasn't ready for the answer the Russian gave without missing a beat. "On you."
"Illyana!" Kitty blushed red as the ice cream man nearly fell into the open counter.
Illyana grinned. "Hey, you get your ice cream this afternoon, but tonight, if the world's not in danger, we do what I want to do!"
Kitty lowered her face shyly. "I can't wait," she whispered to Illyana, "but don't you dare ever say that in public again!" Illyana laughed.
