"No, dear Valeris. For all the negative aspects, there is one I can see in a positive light."
Valeris cocked her head.
"While you participate in this relationship," Saavik continued, "You do not get as much...gratification as I."
"I protest."
"See, Valeris, I can look at your face and say that you are beautiful. I hold your hand, and I feel. I hear your voice, and it makes me shiver. These save me from logic. These I would not trade."
"And if you did not feel this way? Is your perspective still positive?"
