"Radio," Abby says.
But Jess isn't listening, too intent upon making sure all of Abby made it back from the team's adventure. There's a scrape on her cheek and Jess is certain when she peels Abby out of her leather and jeans, there will be bruises everywhere.
"Just look at you," she scolds, hands brushing up and under the jacket, knuckles against Abby's breasts for a moment.
Abby sucks in a breath and leans forward to kiss her. It's not complicated, this thing between them, where Abby lets Jess kiss her (or more, and Jess likes those memories) and Jess lets Abby... do her own thing with other people. It's comfort and it's keeping a work-mate happy, and Jess has had a crush on Abby since she first read her file (even though she's changed).
"If you're done with Abby, Jess, we need you coordinating--" Becker's voice is crisp.
Oh. That radio. Jess hopes her breathing is all right when she snaps out, "Be right there."
Abby's lips are tilted into a smile, and Jess thinks about kissing it off her, but Becker sounded in a hurry, and Becker in a hurry is nothing to trifle with.
