Ripley washed Lambert's bloody hair and bathed her with soap and sponges. She drained away the scarlett water and wrapped her in a towel. The blood from the creature which had burst from Kane's chest sprayed them all, but Lambert had been drenched with it. "Are you okay?" she asked.
Lambert shivered and did not answer. Ripley opened the towel and warmed her with her body. She could feel the rapid heart beat. "Lambert. Are you okay?"
She put her finger under Lambert's chin and tipped it. The eyes that met hers were those of a stranger.
