Cameron is dancing.
She turns, legs extended, arms high.
She turns like the ballerina on the music box that I had when I was a girl when I was soft and sweet, before I knew the world was doomed.
She turns, leaps, fluid in her movements. There is a grace to her I cannot deny, a beauty to her motions.
Yet I’ve seen her kill, crush, and maim. That’s what she was made to do.
Why does she have to dance? It only confuses the issue.
I have to remind myself that for all her grace she has no soul.
