Lambert's heels tapped a tattoo on the floor of the ship's mess as she exited.
"Hey, Lambert", Parker called after her. "Why do wear those cowboy boots? Why don't you wear sneakers like the rest of us?"
Lambert did not reply, and Parker turned to Brett. "Damn uppity bitch," he muttered. Always gotta be different."
"Right," Brett replied.

Lambert made her way to the ship's bubble where Ripley waited. "I heard you coming two minutes before I saw you," she said with a half smile.
Lambert sat in the control chair while Ripley removed her boots, caressing the leather with long fingers. "You're so damn macho," she purred.
"And you love it," Lambert said.
Ripley began undressing the navigator, burying her head between Lambert's legs. "Yes," she answered, her mouth nibbling Lambert's inner thigh, " I do."
