Fandom: Harry Potter.
Pairings: Ginny/Luna, Ginny/Hermione.
MS W/Count: 200.
When Hermione said, 'We can't do this anymore, Ginny, it's wrong', you covered your feelings with a cool smile and slid out of her bed without hesitation. After the warmth of her body the chill morning air made you shiver, but you refused to show it as you pulled on your robe and tied it tightly.
She lay there silently, watching you, with the covers pulled up to her chin and a pleading expression on her face. You knew she was asking you not to hate her; not to think less of her for being too ashamed of herself, her feelings and her body to pursue what the two of you shared but… you did think less of her, even though you didn't want to.
With Luna there's no shame and no holding back. Luna will walk down the street with you, hand in hand, nothing but pride showing on her face. She'll kiss you in the corridors and drag you into alcoves to make out between classes and, although she often seems lost in her own world, when the two of you are together she's always right there with you.
When you look at Hermione, you feel only pity.

Pairing: Lily/Narcissa.
MS W/Count: 100.
It occurs to you that you're falling in love with her as you're trailing kisses down her body, weaving patterns formed of soft touches across her skin as you commit each moment to memory. She murmurs your name, twining her fingers through your hair, and you slip your hand between her thighs in response, relishing the soft moans you're rewarded with when you move your fingers just so.
As she arches into the touch, hissing your name in a decidedly non-Gryffindor way, you realise: you aren't falling, you've fallen.
Getting involved with Lily wasn't smart but you don't regret it.

Fandom: She Spies.
Pairing: Cassie/D.D. (pre-slashy)
MS W/Count: 250.
You switch off the phone after a brief conversation with your father and try to decide if it made you feel better or worse. Neither of you knew what to say and the awkward silences stand out in your memory.
He's your father. Talking to him again shouldn't have been that hard.
Letting your head fall back, you pull the blanket tighter around you. There's comfort to be found in the feel of soft wool against your skin and you stare at the television, the image there ingraining itself in your memory.
The sound of soft footsteps alerts you to the return of one of your fellow Spies and, since checking up isn't Shane's style, you know it's D.D. She pauses behind you, leaning against the back of the couch and glancing briefly at the screen.
"Hey," she says softly, when you turn your head to look at her. "Want company?"
You do and you don't. You'd prefer not to be alone right now but D.D's kindness gets to you; she'll want you to talk and you're not sure you're ready to discuss this yet.
"Sure," you decide finally. "Lets watch something."
When she glances back to the screen, you clarify, "Something with explosions and car chases," and offer a smile you know she'll return.
"I'll make the popcorn," she agrees, hugging you briefly on her way to the kitchen.
You smile, getting up to find a movie, and wonder if she'll cuddle with you in the name of comfort.
