A/N: This is… Kind of awful but I did want to get something out, I’ll probably try and do a better one with different characters in remainder week.
She is pretty sure that this is not appropriate behaviour for a queen.
But the thing is you see… Jade is so warm and full of life, so flexible and willing to try anything for Bai Tza… It isn’t fair to just leave her be, such a gift should be appreciated at every possible opportunity.
Even if the appreciations tend to somehow draw family members to walk in unawares and stumble back with a scream (Shendu, Jackie) or offer to join in (Drago, His Wu (ick)) or stand over them grumbling until they manage to separate (Tso Lan, Uncle)… It was most disturbing really; surprise visits seemed only to happen when she was engaging in behaviour unfit for a queen.
It was most annoying, but most of the time Jade made up for it.
Appreciating Jade certainly wasn’t appropriate behaviour for a queen, but her subjects could cope with it.
She did rule them after all.
