Hiya, I'm new to the community but I come bearing gifts. :-)

Title: Neutral
Fandom: Rome
Pairing: Atia/Servilia
Rating: PG-13
Summary: All the nobles, except one.

All the nobles in the city that haven’t left in alliance with Pompey have been to the house of Atia to beg for protection. All the nobles that is, except for Servilia.

This fact troubles Atia more that she would care to mention; the other woman’s son has declared for Pompey, meaning that the name of the Junii was allied with Pompey, so what gave her the confidence not to petition Atia?

Because her curiosity has always been overwhelming to the point of obsession she goes to Servilia’s house herself. They greet each other cordially as usual and Atia silently tells the other woman to dismiss her slaves - this is something for nobody’s eyes and ears but theirs. Eventually Servilia gives in to Atia’s incessant questioning.

"I am safe because I take no sides. No mater who wins I will be in favour with the victor because I am neutral, it is the wisest thing to do and I daresay my protection is more valuable than yours."

There is no malice in it but Atia is stung, largely because it is the truth. She falls to her knees before Servilia’s seat and silently tells her what she is going to do to gain her valuable protection.

Servilia smiles at her knowing she has the upper hand again and shifts in her seat, allowing her dress to be pulled up past her thighs.

Before she sets to work Atia brings her head up briefly.

"If your thighs crush my hair I shall never forgive you."

Title: Hate
Fandom: Rome
Pairing: Atia/Servilia
Rating: PG-13
Summary: When Cleopatra visits Rome...

When Cleopatra visits Rome Atia hates her on sight.

She is somewhat comforted to know that despite everything they have done to one another, she has this emotion in common with the older woman sat lonely and maudlin in the corner of her house. Not one hour ago she was making preparations for Servilia’s death and now, with Antony staring so blatantly at the whore of a Queen she wants to change the victim. She has forgotten all about her hatred for Servilia (and I wish I knew how she kept Caesar so enamoured even when exotic women surrounded him). But they have long since gone past even the pretence of being friends. Atia knows that one can never go back, besides regret is for fools.

Servilia hates Cleopatra on sight too. She is not as obvious as Atia is, naturally, she never was, but her chameleon eyes flicker quickly and only Octavia (poor dear Octavia, who probably thinks I’m planning my next child-lover) notices as she appraises the Queen and she hates everything about her immediately. Caesar abandoned her so swiftly and yet he stayed with this child for years. She notices that Atia looks more troubled than she has ever seen her and she sees the looks between the girl and Antony and can’t bring herself to be pleased. With a sigh she thinks the God have made fools of them both.

Roman women, despite everything, shared a common view on little trollops who stole other women’s husbands. Then again, Antony wasn’t Atia’s husband and whilst not little any more the younger woman was still a trollop.

Servilia still can’t bring herself to smile.

Title: Body
Fandom: Rome
Pairing: Atia/Servilia
Rating: PG-13
Summary: When the body hits the ground...

When the body hit the ground and the wound began to weep Atia was aware of three things.
Servilia’s blood was the colour of wine - the same shade that still stained the ground in her cellar and no matter how many slaves she set on it would not clean.

Octavia had gasped and nearly ran to her old lover. Atia would never have allowed this under normal circumstances but her world has fallen down and nobody has noticed and she wants to keep it that way so her daughter’s sobs are a useful distraction. Even though she doesn’t think her daughter should be the one allowed to sob and wail to the Gods and a voice she does not recognise as her own whispers "She’s dead."

What seemed like everybody in Rome to Atia had gathered around her house for Servilia’s concluding performance and every last one of them was muttering and staring. They would never forget this moment - and they would pass it on - and make sure nobody else ever forgot the exact moment the noble Servilia of the Junii killed herself before the door of the whore, Atia of the Julii, cursing the inhabitant with the furies of her, not inconsequential, ancestors.

Oh you clever old thing.

You’ve won. Now how on earth did you manage that?

The eternally cold eyes stare out at her, Servilia is unrelenting even in death, and Atia is aware of a fourth thing.

It was not a game.

Love them or hate them please leave some feedback. :-)
