In some ways Thelma didn’t mind being a ghost. It was almost fun.
She could sneak about, spy and eavesdrop to her heart’s content without fear of being caught. She could walk right in on the naughty dreams of any girl she fancied. And of course she could eat whatever she liked.
Then there were the times when Cassie reached to grab Thelma’s hand and her fingers closed on nothing. When Cassie leaned in close enough to kiss, and then closer still only to pass right through her.
At times like those Thelma wasn’t a bit happy about being ghost.
