Pairing: Willow/Tara... sadly it didn't come across as strongly... the official version in my journal has two words changed from this, but the femslash didn't come across the way I wanted it to the other way...
She stood watching. The other three were experience nasty-fighters. Tara on the other hand had never met a vampire before. Well, Spike, but he was a nice vampire. Not a bite and kill vampire… at least not anymore.
With all three of them occupied in battle, no one saw the vamp sneaking up behind Buffy- no one, that is, except the girl on the sidelines.
An incantation, a burst of flame, ashes.
“Way to go, sweetie!” Willow exclaimed.
She allowed a modest shrug and a smile as the felling washed over her: the feeling that she wasn’t a complete outsider.
