Tory watched the older woman as she went about her day. Still focussed despite betrayals and nearing death.
Still hopeful.
Still fighting for humanities survival. Fighting for their future, for a better life for those remaining humans. Putting the need of every man, woman and child ahead of her own, despite the lack of appreciation, of gratitude.
Desperate to reassure Laura that she had her unconditional support. Strange that as a human, she’d not understood the enigmatic woman. Had short-changed her in the support front. But not any more. From now on she was there.
Every step of the way.
Every decision.
Every event.
Despite the facts there were truths she couldn’t share. Despite her almost desperate desire to confide.
Two in fact.
One. That she was a Cylon. Maybe not the same kind that Sharon Agathon was, but a Cylon none the less.
Two: So was Laura. And that she could never believe.
So Tory kept her truths and lived the lie.
