“This was a huge mistake.” You whisper.
“I know.” She replies quietly, staring at the ceiling.
“I’m sorry.” You reply suddenly teary-eyed.
“I know,” she whispers, “I am too.”
“I, I,” you stutter not entirely sure what to say next. “I just needed someone so badly…” You trail off after your voice breaks.
She smiles a bittersweet smile, not sure if she wants to run, back to LA, or if she wants to hug you, to try and make some of your pain, your loneliness disappear.
Her first attempt at the latter was pretty much a disaster.
She stays anyway.
