A/N: I have no clue why or how.
Disclaimer: Besides the fact that the archaic speech would have Diana chewing up her tongue? It's all fictional, people. I pulled it out of some random crack of my brain. (At least I think it was my brain.)
Pairing: Sue Bird/Diana Taurasi, Seattle Storm and University of Connecticut respectively.
The lance once more smashed into the opponent, unhorsing the foreigner. The knight, seeing this, dismounted and checked the foe. "Lady Suzanne, my rival is senseless but yet breathes."
The lady nodded. "Stand before me. In front of all assembled, I declare that this knight hath won the joust by dispatching the foreigner Lauren. Thus I show my favor to all." And the lady tied a green ribbon about the knight's lance. "But thus, Dame Diana, I show my favor to thee."
And the lady lifted the knight's visor and kissed her most soundly, and they lived happily ever after.
