Summary: Dawn never gets past the third date
There was a rumor going around campus that “dating Dawn Summers might be hazardous to one’s health.” Still, a few were willing to try. The trouble was that Dawn was living in a house with her sister, her sister’s best friend, and whatever Faith was. The women usually met Willow on the first date- she was the easiest test to pass. If they got through that, they were introduced to Buffy on the second date. She would play the big sister card to a tee and weed out some of the other girls.
Faith, however, was another story. Dawn was lucky if her date stayed past dessert on their third meeting. She didn’t know how Faith would find them, just that the girl would casually mention running into her dark-haired roommate.
“What the hell did you say to Teresa?” Dawn yelled, storming into Faith’s room after her date for the evening begged off with a phone call.
“She wasn’t right for you.”
“Don’t you think I should be the judge of that? She was perfectly nice and I liked her.”
“Did you ever ask them what I said?”
“I’m asking you.”
“And that’s the problem. You don’t go after them.”
“I shouldn’t have to. They should want to stay.”
Faith mumbled something under her breath.
“What was that?” Dawn asked.
“I stayed,” Faith whispered.
“Oh. You know there’s a rumor going around that dating me can be hazardous to your health.”
“I think I’d be willing to take that chance.”
