“If you keep treating me like this, Pam-a-lamb, I may have to have accidents more often.”
Ivy’s vines around Harley’s body suddenly stop caressing her as Ivy looks down at Harley with narrowed eyes. She seems suddenly dangerous again, and Harl remembers, with a pang in her heart, that it isn’t always smart to tease one’s lover. “I . . . I was just kidding.”
“You better be. I never want you to hurt yourself on purpose, Harley.”
“Is that why you looked at me like that? I was only kidding!”
“I’ve known women who have. They hurt themselves to get attention, or they hurt themselves because . . . because some dirtbag had convinced them they should. I know he -- he did a lot of things to you, Harls, but -- “
“Pammy, baby,” Harley croons, drawing her into her arms, “he’s in the past. I’m not going back to him ever again! It’s you I want, you I love, and I promise you as long as I’ve got you in my life, I’m not going to ever do anything stupid like that again. I mean, I may do something stupid -- we all do stupid stuff, and I do make a lot of stupid mistakes -- but not like that.”
Pam places a gloved finger on Harley’s lips, hushing her and making her realize that she’s started to babble. “Besides, there’s way more fun things I can do to you and with you once I’m healed.” Harley kisses her, easing the last of their worries away.

Author's Note: Please forgive me, dear mod, for going ahead and posting this, but it really wasn't my fault I couldn't post it on time and I DID write it on time. Our Internet decided to go kaplooey for a while. :(
“What’s wrong?” Kimmy asks, hearing DJ sigh as she brushes her hair and immediately popping into her open bedroom.
DJ looks forlornly at the golden lock entangled in her brush. “I know we’re getting older,” she starts to say.
“No duh,” her best friend interjects.
“And I know that means our bodies are going to change,” DJ continues. “My hair’s not as long as it was.”
“You could grow it back out.”
“It’s not as bright as it was. But do I really have to already be losing it? Uncle Jesse's still got all his hair!”
The answering look on Kimmy’s face is somewhere between a reassuring smile and a smirk. “Your Uncle Jessie’s one of a kind.”
“I know, but -- “
Kimmy sits beside DJ. She takes her hand in one of hers and picks up her brush with her other hand. She squeezes her hand as she starts to brush her hair in long, slow, and gentle strokes. “And so are you. Dej, your hair has always been glorious -- “
“Glorious, Kimmy? Really?”
“Yeah! You’ve got the most beautiful hair I’ve ever seen! I’ve always wanted to have hair like yours!”
“Really?”
“Yes, really! But you are the most beautiful person I’ve ever known, inside and out, and you always will be.”
After all their years together, DJ still blushes. “Aw, Kimmy -- “
Kimmy silences her by pressing her lips against hers, and with the sweet, passionate kiss that follows, she proves to her that she believes every word she’s said.
