ETA: Okay, now that we're running up against the post character limit, we are no longer taking any additional prompts. But please go ahead and fill whatever prompts are already up!
so... any ideas about where to go with drabbletag? I'd like us to start a new round, but I don't necessarily want to abandon all these prompts. but there are way too many to pull all of them for new threads, don't you think? maybe we could group the threads into five or so prompts by fandom?
I've been thinking about that recently - with some of the prompts, I think they aren't being filled just because people have moved on. But for a lot of them (especially the crossovers), they aren't being filled because nobody really knows how to write them, and it might be better if we could just drop those for the next round. So, yeah, I could maybe just use our dictorial drabble tag powers and pick out the ones that are viable? Even then, we would still have a lot, and it would make sense to seperate the threads by fandom.
Or, we could just start completely from the ground floor (maybe asking the top participants from this round to donate prompts?) with the stipulation that if anybody wants to fill a prompt out from this round, they're still welcome to do that just for fun.
And next time I'm also going to rework how I do the masterlist, so we won't run out space so soon.

hmmmmm, I could go either way. I'd probably recommend against culling prompts based on our own instincts, because some of the ones that seemed impossible to me have been filled, fantastically -- you never know. but if we group them into 10 or 12 starting threads that should give some leeway for the fringe ones (although eeep, I counted about 180 open prompts!). if you group them more or less alphabetically by fandom, we could think up some other twist, like your drabble (or drabble title) has to start with the same letter that the fandom starts with (xovers wild).
or we could just start over! I'm not sure how to lighten up the masterlist -- except maybe omit the links to the request threads? although how would people know how to find the comment thread then, hmmmm. only allow two new prompts instead of 3?
