She said she wouldn't do this again. She told her her door was closed to her along with the rest of the world forever more. She told her not to come back. She said she was done.

But now, opening her door at three AM and finding herself gazing into big, blue eyes full of tears, Ivy realizes she lied. She lied as much as she lies every time she says she's done killing the humans who rape their mother. She lied. She lied to her, to herself, and most of all, to her heart. She lied.

Her own words ring in her ears as she opens her arms wide. Harley falls into them, crying out her heart, and as Ivy holds her weeping love, she promises herself that they won't go through this again. She won't send her away or let her go back to Joker again. She won't lie to either of them ever again. And yet she knows already she's lying again for this is a circle that, as strong as their mother's equator, never breaks.

She holds Harley as she trembles and shakes. Her own heart aches. Her plants wrap around them and pull them back into the sanctuary of Ivy's apartment, away from the world, away from him, and away from all the lies he causes for another night.

The End
