Blanche looks up, her eyes alight with happy expectation, as Dorothy sweeps into the room. "What did you get us?" she asks, eyeing the pink box her girlfriend carries.
"Chocolate strawberry." Dorothy grins.
"Chocolate strawberry?" Blanche repeats, breathless at the mere thought.
"See for yourself." Dorothy opens the box, and Blanche peers inside at the cheesecake within. It's a large pie, covered with melted chocolate, dripping a little from the Miami heat, and topped with a strawberry in every conceivable spot. "It's a box o' sin!" she breathes in delight. Looking up at Dorothy, she exclaims, "Ah do declare, Dorothy Zbornak, Ah believe Ah could take ya right here on this table!"
"Why don't you?" Dorothy teases with a wide grin and a youthful sparkle in her old eyes. "Ma and Rose won't be back for hours yet."
Blanche looks from Dorothy to the cheesecake back to Dorothy and finally back to the cheesecake. "Ah will," she declares, "but first, let's eat!"
