“You’ve never been interested in women before, though?” Gabby asked, “so, like, what about Miranda made you be like ‘her, that’s the person I want to be with’?”
Jane smiled. “I don’t know. I don’t know why Miranda, why there were no other women before her, but… from the moment I looked in her eyes I knew I wanted to know more. And now when I look in her eyes, it’s like looking at the personification of home and love.”
“Aww,” Gabby put her hand over her heart. “That is schmoopie as fuck, but I love it.”
“Language!” Jane laughed.

“Okay.” Sister James beamed.
Aloysius looked down at the book of poetry, wrapped in a red ribbon. “Sister, you shouldn’t have!”

Title: Nudes
Fandom: Devil Wears Prada, Miranda/Emily
Challenge # 507 - eyes
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 100 each, 200 total
Summary: Miranda gives Emily a little makeover
“Emily.” Miranda clipped tersely, pointing to the chair in front of her desk.
Emily dutifully sank into the chair. Miranda pulled out a makeup removing wipe and gently wiped away the heavy eyeshadow.
“Your eyes are much too beautiful to be hidden behind so much eye makeup.” Miranda said by way of explanation. She picked up an eyeshadow palette of nudes and finally she selected a dark brown eye pencil.
Miranda studied Emily’s face and smiled triumphantly. “There.”
Emily smiled back and, after a long moment, allowed her eyes to drift down to Miranda’s lips. Impulsively, she kissed Miranda softly.

Miranda’s eyes widened in surprise and Emily’s heart sank.
“Oh my god, Miranda. I’m sorry…” She furrowed her brow in panic. “Please. I’m so sorry.”
The older woman cupped Emily’s cheeks and pressed her lips against Emily’s. Emily relaxed into the touch and parted her lips. Miranda deepened the kiss, tugging Emily forward so they’d both be standing. Emily followed Miranda’s direction, not wanting to break the kiss.
Miranda sank down onto her office couch, pulling Emily down with her until the younger woman’s body was pressed into hers.
Emily moaned softly and Miranda pushed a thigh between her legs.

Challenge # 507 - eyes
Rating: R (for language)
Word Count: 100 each, 200 total
Summary: Stephen confronts Miranda
“Do you think I’m a fucking idiot, Miranda?” Stephen snapped, walking around the landing with his tumbler of bourbon.
“What are you talking about?” Miranda frowned.
“We talked about this!” He roared, “you said you were done with fucking around with women.”
“I have - I am.” She insisted.
“Oh, fucking bullshit, Miranda.” He rolled his eyes. “You couldn’t keep your eyes off that girl all night.”
“What girl?” She scoffed.
“The one with the too red lipstick and the big brown doe eyes.”
“Andrea?” Miranda laughed.
“You know what just gave you away?” Stephen laughed sardonically. “You know her name.”

Miranda found Stephen downstairs refilling his bourbon again. “There’s nothing going on with Andrea.” Miranda said softly.
“But you want there to be.” He whispered as he dropped an ice cube into his glass.
“All I can do… is resist. I can’t… not feel my feelings.” Miranda sank into the chair in defeat.
Stephen looked up at her for the first time, sadness in his eyes. “Ironic that the first wife I’ve really been in love with since my twenties is the one that can’t love me back.”
“Stephen…”
“Miranda, you’re a lesbian. Why can’t you admit that to yourself?”
