Summary: This is set in And Then There Were None (2x09). The remoteness of the scene is what inspired me with the ‘lonely’ prompt.
“The coroner is four hours late and we can’t leave until someone picks up the body.” Catherine groaned. “I have seniority and I have earned the right to pick my cases. I shouldn’t have been sent to this remote scene in the first place.”
She glanced at Sara, both of them hearing the ‘with you’ without it having to be said.
“And Grissom isn’t calling me back.” Catherine continued to pace and grumble. “This is bullshit.”
Sara stood up and walked to Catherine, grabbing her by the shoulders. Catherine looked at her questioningly and Sara pressed her lips to Catherine’s.

Summary: Follow-up to my previous drabble
Catherine grabbed her purse from her locker as Sara entered the room. She thought about it for a moment and then turned to face the brunette.
“About you kissing me yesterday…” Catherine started. “It’s probably my fault; I’m too friendly - ”
Sara scoffed. “I don’t think you’re friendly.”
Catherine bristled. “Look, I’m just saying. It can’t happen again… for all of the obvious reasons. Okay?”
Sara nodded. “That’s fine with me.”
Catherine slung her purse over her shoulder and was almost out the door when Sara said. “Just for the record, Willows, you kissed me back.”
Catherine blushed bright.
