They say that they're obscure, and she used to believe them. They say women like herself who aren't afraid to be themselves, who prefer brains and bravery over beauty and brawn, are a minority. They say women like her who love their own, fair gender are a minority, and worse. She's heard all the words before, from cunt licker to queer. They used to bother her, but not any more, especially as she sits on her throne and surveys her kingdom.
They aren't a minority. Maybe they are compared to the rest of the world, but the rest of the world doesn't matter here. This place is filled with her people, with beautiful and brave girls like herself who aren't afraid to admire the female body and act on those admirations. There are Knights and hand maidens. There are peasant girls and other royals and even Faeries who admire her openly, smile at her in that special way, and wink an invitation.
And by Merlin, has she ever had the invitations! She's spent every night in a different tent, and she can't say who is her favorite. She loves all her people, and her people, especially her women, adore her. She even had two fight over her last night.
Charlie grins, surveying her kingdom with pride and love. Let the rest of the world keep what they think is right. Here, love and beauty prevails. Here, her people rule, and she rules them. It certainly is great to be Queen!
