Summary: Rita is introduced to the perks of brains
Rita leaned pathetically against the doorframe as she pushed open the door to her apartment. She took a deep breath and shuffled to the kitchen.
She pulled open the refrigerator, shoving her own contributions carelessly aside, grabbing one of Liv’s Tupperware and yanking it open. All pretense aside, she shoved her face into the container, devouring the contents.
Rita took a deep breath, feeling better already. She grabbed another container and slid to the floor, eating the second container with less urgency but still with her hands.
The hair on the back of her neck stood up when she heard a key turn in the lock. The rush of a memory slammed into her unbidden: opening door, a tall, angry blonde entering an apartment.
“Gilda!” Liv repeated, annoyed. “What the hell?”
A rush of adrenaline surged through Rita and her eyes went red.
“Uh-oh.” Liv furrowed her brow.
Rita was on her feet and leaping at Liv before Liv could even react. The two women collided hit the floor; the force of Rita’s zombie strength slid them across the hardwood, coming to a halt right before hitting the wall.
Liv opened her mouth to protest and Rita captured her lips in a bruising kiss. Liv’s eyebrows went up in surprise and stiffened for a moment before returning the kiss.
Once they separated, Liv blinked. “Lesbian brain?”
“It would seem so.” Rita nodded, leaning down and kissing her again. Liv wrapped her arms around the soon-to-be-no-longer redhead, deepening the kiss hungrily.
