Her head lifts as she hears a man wolf howl. She doesn't know if it's Wolverine. One never knows quite where that pain in the ass is going to turn up, but it's not his other half, the one to whom her mind now turns as she walks among the headstones. A lesser spine would chill at the sound, but Raven only flips up her collar and keeps walking, keeps remembering.
Victor Creed has been a part of her life for many years, almost as long as the one to whom she's come to visit tonight and perhaps, by now, even longer. They've often disagreed, and their disagreements can rip apart cities, but sometimes, he was right. His voice echoes in her mind now. We gotta give their wings room, Mysti. Birdies don't leave long with clipped wings.
They'd both been drunk that night and, as usual, while drunk, had spoken too much, but he'd been right. Too right. Her blue fingertips gently scale a headstone as she steps to its front and crouches beside it. She doesn't know where his bird is buried, but hers is right here. She told herself the ache would dull with time, but it hasn't. She presses her face against the cold, hard concrete and weeps where none can see over the name, Irene Adler.
